As we all know (all too well) the semi-final match was an epic fail. Not that India did not play well - they did. But the fact that the bwoys routinely fucked up made it all too easy for India to battle with Sri-Lanka for the cup. The pity of it is, in all this cricket fever - for the first time in many years I saw people unite together under a common green banner. For a nation that's being torn apart by divisions after division, this was much needed - albeit transient. Oh-well. It was good while it lasted, I suppose. *sigh*

actually india didn't play well. if WE hadn't dropped tendulkar's catch four freaking times, the game would have been much different. both the teams played horribly.
but afridi's apology post match made everything bearable and the patriotism that was since pre semifinal was worth it!
congrats to india, though, for winning the worldcup after 28 years specially on home ground. i guess we have to wait for 9 more years :P the last time we won it was 19 years ago
