I'm tired of talking about the motherland. It's possibly the most depressing topic you could pick right now. I mean think about it, floods, famine, impending plague it sounds like we're just hanging in there first in line for the apocalypse. I'm equally tired of hearing people talk about how little we're getting in terms of aid from the rest of the world. Let's face it, we're not their problem (except when we start exporting suicide bombers, then we are, but otherwise we're not). I vote we forget all about the Islamic Republic and think about happy things instead. Like babies, and rainbows and chocolate ice-cream. Except the babies drowned in the flood, rainbows mock-at-us in between the never-ending rain, and talking about chocolate ice-cream right now feels like a grotesque mimic of Marie Antoinette (who-let-them-eat-cake), you know.
