Meeting up with old friends can be absolutely wonderful or incredibly disappointing. Today fell squarely into the former category. What I love most is how easy it is - with some friends - (no matter how infrequently you meet them) to fluidly fall into the same easy camaraderie. As if we never lost touch, and even if we did, distance (or time) doesn't really interfere with friendship. just a matter of catching up with each other's lives over dinner, to talk about ourselves, and others, for hours on end and then leave feeling as if these hours were way-too-short.
