According to this article on BBC News, feeling grumpy is good for you. Says Professor Joe Forgas, 'negative moods trigger more attentive, careful thinking, paying greater attention to the external world', which in turn makes the gloomy-soul better at decision-making and less gullible.

So take 'that' all-you-annoyingly-chirpy-people-out-there, I'm going to wallow away in abject misery all-the-while becoming a better person. *hah*

dil ko behlaney keliye khayal acha hai. as long as our govt doesnt take credit for making us better at our work (having provided us with things that make us gloomy and all that)
