I find it amusingly ironic how our cable-wala in Karachi is on a Ramazan-long crusade to ensure that no fahash Hindi movie graces our television screens (because it's natural that Kareena in hot pink singing the 'bebo' song would wreak havoc on the good-Muslim roza), but English filums complete with hot sex scenes et al run all day long unchecked. Yet more proof how, in our postcolonial world, the gora sahab truly does reign supreme. Haina?

haha i've thought about why they do that too.

I don't think it's part of a colonial hangover but probably just how much attention the cable wala pays to what english films they play.

They probably just pop in the "Eyes Wide Shut" ki CD and then completely forget about it.

Inflicting Kareena on anyone is torture. An innocent, fasting being at that, is just inhumane.
